Tas Kibap

Tas Kebab is one of my favorite traditional Bulgarian dishes, known for its rich flavor and comforting warmth. Tender beef slowly cooks with onions and spices, creating a deeply savory and satisfying stew. It’s a dish that always reminds me of home and is especially wonderful served with fresh bread.

Ingredients:

1 pound beef stew meat

1 large sweet onion (minced)

2 medium carrots (cubed)

1 cup parsley (minced)

3 tbsp flour

1 tbspn paprika

1 heaping tbsp red pepper paste

1.5 cups tomato passata

About 4 cups water

How to Prepare:

  1. Add meat to pressure cooker pot.

  2. Add the onions and mix everything together with your hands, gently pressing the onions into the meat.

  3. Add all vegetables.

  4. Add the spices and mix well.

  5. Add the red pepper paste and tomato passata, and mix well.

  6. Add enough water to cover all the ingredients and a little more on top.

  7. Cook on HIGH pressure for 15 minutes. Release pressure after 10 minutes of completion.
